Agriculture-products : Main items on the agricultural list include Wheat, barley, citrus, tomatoes, melons, olives; sheep, goats, poultry.


Industries: Expanding very rapidly .The main ones include phosohate mining, pharmaceuticals, petroleum refining, cement , potash ,cigarettes ,light manufacturing ,tourism.


Exports-commodities: clothing, phosphates ,fertilizers ,potash ,vegetables ,manufactures , pharmaceuticals.


Exports-partners: US21.5%, lraq 17.6 %, Switzerland 605%, India 6.5%, Saudi Arabia 5.3%, (2003).


Imports-commodities: Crude oil ,textile fabrics ,machinery ,transport equipment ,manufactured goods.


Visas: Visitors with a valid passport may obtain a visa at any Jordanian Embassy or Consulate abroad. Visas may also be obtained upon arrival at Amman International Airport.


Transport :Taxis are cheap and often .The most convenient from of transport in Jordan , even over such substantial distances as the run between Amman and Aqaba , though on this particular route there is an excellent Pullman coach service. Taxis , especially long distance ,are often shared.


Car Hire: A license valid in the holder’s country of origin is usually acceptable if it has been held for at least one year.
